2022 Fall Seminar – Problems and Solutions in Implant Dentistry

Patients are accepting dental implants at a higher rate than ever before. Implants are being placed by a wide variety of clinicians into an ever expanding and complex patient pool. While implant dentistry as a whole enjoys a high level of success, there are a growing number of complications that can leave patients and clinicians alike frustrated. This seminar aims to review the most common complications in implant dentistry and how to overcome them.

Objectives

How to assess and manage a variety of implant fixture and restoration complications including:

  • Peri-implantitis
  • Broken implant screws
  • Fractured implants and prosthetics
  • Implants lost due to infection vs implant loss due to de-integration
  • Esthetic implant disasters and their management
  • Servicing old implant fixtures and systems
